This Saturday, August 25th I will take part in a habitat day for the Cadillac Branch of the QDMA. The event should last from 9 until 5 and after lunch I will deliver a seminar, followed by a property tour. This is not only for serious whitetail habitat managers and landowners, but for serious hunters as well! The lowest hole in the bucket of all small parcel deer management, boils down to how well you blend your deer hunting activities, with your deer habitat management activities.
The cost of the event is $50, with proceeds going to the Cadillac Branch of the QDMA. You can call Tim Liponoga at 231-846-3111 for the full details, but here is the itinerary for the day:
9am-Coffee, Donuts and Socialize
10am-Machinery and Planting Seminars by host branch officer
Noon-Lunch
1pm-Jeff Sturgis Seminar for advanced herd, habitat and hunting strategies.
3pm-Property Tour hosted by Jeff Sturgis to discuss site specific habitat and hunting strategies.
I would love to meet you at the event and there is plenty of time for discussion and questions throughout the day. I will stop by the meet and greet during the morning, and then will be around at lunch and for the rest of the day. This is a very full day so make sure to plan for rain or shine, and I suspect a little bug dope could come in handy. I hope to see you there!
